What Happens When You Sunburst Pleat Striped Fabric?

This is the coolest thing.  Obviously printed fabric looks different when pleated.  Usually the end result is beautiful, but sometimes it is not.  However when pleating lines and geometric shapes the results are sometimes stunning.  See for yourself!

Below is a picture of a half circle pannel to be pleated (Before):
